Our Journey to Bring Our Son Home . . .

September 12, 2009

The other side of the world

Brett brought home his leg yesterday. We look forward to practicing as much as possible this weekend before returning for more therapy/training next week. Knowing Brett's strong will, he will master this. We were told it could take 6 months to a year to master the walking. If so, no problem; he has waited three years for this. Right now, he is just excited to show off his new addition!

I've been up a couple of hours reflecting how God has led us to this point. The email with Brett's picture that started the journey all the way to this day. I also know how different Brett's life would be in China. Why the deep thoughts at 3am? Take a look at New Day's latest arrival.

What a cutie! Please lift up Samuel in your prayers that he will be given an opportunity to experience the same blessings that have been provided for Brett.

Prayers are definitely going up for ND's newest arrival. He is such a cutie...and only days older than our Khloe. Praying that his forever family finds him soon and that he is blessed with a team like Brett has been. Glad to hear you were able to bring his leg home. That little sweetie will have it mastered in no time!

Have a blessed weekend! <><

I forgot that Brett needed a leg prosthetic and I haven't followed him since he left ND ... but somehow I clicked on the link tonight and was SO happy to see a familiar face in Samuel. I simply fell in love with him the moment I saw him! thank you so much for posting his photo. Not that all the children at ND aren't precious, just some really feel different don't they. I pray that he will be able to be fitted for a prosthetic of some sort. Standing, walking, running--dream big little man! I pray the best for him!

Oh my, you'd better start saving your pennies--Brett needs a baby brother! ;) Congrats to Brett that his new leg is here--we can't wait to see him walking, er, running around!
