An Inspiration!

If we know anything about Brett, we know he will find a way to do anything. If you've checked out New Day's Web Site lately, you can see him participating in races, swimming, swinging, and even driving a scooter! Today, I ran across a story of an amazing young man. Brett continues to thrive at New Day Foster Home. We have experienced our first slow down with USCIS. Hopefully, they will move quickly from this point on. Patience, patience, . . .

Our Big Girls!

At some point, our little babies turned into little girls. Chloe blew out two candles on her Elmo cake last week and is in the process of potty training. Abigail now sports Barbie glasses and corrects us if we misread a word in a book. Where did our babies go?

Introducing Our Son

Fu Gao Sheng, soon to be Brett Gao Bolton, was born on April 8, 2006 in Henan Province, China. Brett was born without a left leg, but we've been told this only makes him more determined. We have fallen in love, and we look forward to posting more information very soon!

Growing Our Family

Once you join adoption yahoo and support groups, it's not uncommon to receive emails with photographs of children looking for their forever family. I usually peek at the child's picture and pray he/she finds their family. When I opened my mail two weeks ago and looked into the eyes of Fu Gao Sheng, I knew something was different. Russ and I had talked about growing our family again, and my heart told me this was my son.
After tracking down Russ, who was in DC on business, we contacted our adoption agency. We are now in high speed to finish our dossier and bring our son home.
